Now Thank We All Our Market

Today is the day before Thanksgiving. The headlines warn that FCC Chairman Pai will end "net neutrality" next month, saying "President Clinton got it right in 1996 when he established a free market-based approach to this new thing called the Internet, and the Internet economy we have is a result of his light-touch regulatory vision. We saw companies like Facebook and Amazon and Google become global powerhouses precisely because we had light-touch rules that apply to this Internet. And the Internet wasn't broken in 2015 when these heavy-handed regulations were adopted."https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/11/22/565962178/fccs-pai-heavy-handed-net-neutrality-rules-are-stifling-the-internet

I was inspired to update "Now Thank We All Our God."

1. Now thank we all our Market, with heart and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things has done, in whom this world rejoices;
Who from our mothers’ arms has blessed us on our way
With countless quarters of profit, and still is ours today.
2. Oh, may this bounteous Market through all our life be near us,
With ev’r increasing gains and material goods to cheer us;
And keep us free from regulation, and guide us as we trade,
And guard us through all dips, and so that more cash is made.
3. All praise and thanks now give to The Invisible Hand
The Market and CEO’s who reign with them o’er our great land.
The one eternal god, who America adores;
For thus it was, is now, and shall be evermore.
(to the tune of "Now Thank We All Our God")
