Steve once referred to a conversation with one of our daughters as an allegory for the conversation God has with us:
Steve: "Do you have a poopie diaper?"
Daughter (Clearly dragging) "No."
Steve: "But I smell something bad."
Daughter: "Not me."
Steve: "Let me change your diaper."
Daughter: "NOOOOOOOOO!"
On this Ash Wednesday, let us be open to God's gift of clean diapers!
