IMO
the Reformation trashed premodern metaphysics, and has been trying
desperately to find a way of "connecting" beings ever since. Reformed
folks have landed on the OT idea of "Covenant" as the solution; but
understand it through the lens of nominalism, which inevitably fractures
and distorts it. Subordinationism and complementarianism, are some of
the results of that mutilation.
This is how we get books like Douglas Wilson's The Covenant Household
"A godly woman will know that her hair is a daily sermon on how her husband is doing. Do people look at you and see that you are cared for and that your husband treats you right? Or do they think you are hurting?"
