His Stable Genius with Unmatched Wisdom, and the Book of Proverbs

Our congregation is reading through the OT poets together using the Tyndale Immerse Bible reading program. Last week we read Proverbs, so Steve preached his sermon yesterday on Proverbs 9, contrasting Wisdom and Folly. But in conclusion, he said,
ames calls it “wise in your own eyes,” the belief that you somehow have “unmatched wisdom.” That same verse says, “Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” Believing in your own wisdom is the way to foolishness, the road to Folly’s house. Believing in your own ignorance and lack of understanding is the path to Wisdom’s house, the road to life in Christ our Lord.&gt
